In order to be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be aged 18 years or over on 1 September of the year they begin their studies in the UK
- Be nationals of, and ordinarily resident in, one of UK
- Have completed their secondary education (high school) no more than two years before commencing their undergraduate course in the UK
- Not have already commenced studying for an undergraduate degree
- Applicants must also demonstrate excellent academic potential and be able to show that they have the financial means to support themselves during their studies in the UK.

Different Types of Laidlaw Scholarship
#1 Laidlaw Scholarship Cambridge
The Laidlaw Scholarship is a competitive scholarship that provides funding for one year of postgraduate study at the University of Cambridge. The scholarship is open to citizens of any country who are currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program at a university outside of the United Kingdom.
The Laidlaw Scholarship covers the cost of tuition, living expenses, and travel costs for the duration of one academic year at the University of Cambridge. Scholars will also receive a stipend for research and project-related costs.

#2 Lord Laidlaw Scholarship

#4 Laidlaw Scholarship UCL
The Laidlaw Scholarship at University College London (UCL) is a prestigious award that provides funding for undergraduate students to undertake a research project in any area of the humanities or social sciences. The scholarship is named after William Laidlaw, who was a leading philanthropist and supporter of education in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
The Laidlaw Scholarship offers successful applicants the opportunity to receive funding of up to £7,500 for their research project. The scholarship can be used to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, and other associated expenses.
