Eligibility requirements
The Zell Miller Scholarship Program is available to Georgia residents who have been accepted to or are currently enrolled in a public college or university in the state of Georgia. To be eligible for the scholarship, students must meet the following requirements:

- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- Maintain a 3.0 GPA while enrolled in college
Benefits of the scholarship
The Zell Miller Scholarship Program provides eligible Georgia students with a 100 percent tuition scholarship to attend a public college or university in Georgia. The scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years, for a total of four years of coverage.
- The scholarship covers the cost of tuition and mandatory fees only; it does not cover the cost of books, supplies, or other expenses.
- Eligible students must maintain a minimum 3.3 GPA while enrolled in college full-time to renew the scholarship for each subsequent year.

The Zell Miller Scholarship Program is available to any Georgia resident who:
- Is enrolled in an eligible college or university in Georgia
- Is pursuing an undergraduate degree
- Has a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or higher
- Is in good standing with their institution
Residents who meet all of the above criteria are eligible to receive up to $5,000 per academic year to help cover the cost of tuition and other expenses.
How to apply
If you are a Georgia resident and planning to attend an eligible college or university in Georgia, you may apply for the Zell Miller Scholarship. To do so, you must first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) at fafsa.gov.
Next, submit your FAFSA® to your chosen school. Once your school has received and processed your FAFSA®, they will send you a financial aid award letter that will include information on the types and amount of aid you are eligible for.
